• First of all, these are only recommendations. So don't shoot us when we recommend a tank top and it ends up snowing outside (though that's extremely unlikely!).
• Want updates on your phone or blackberry? Just head over to "m.precipiwha.com" on your mobile device!
• The recommendations change a few times each day. When you wake up in the morning, you'll see clothing based upon the high temperature and forecasted weather for the day. As the day progresses, we'll take into account "everything else" (see below). At 8pm it will be based on the next day's forecast, so you can start planning for tomorrow. Wow, it's like mom telling you exactly what you need to wear!
• Note that "tomorrow's recommendation" and "everything else" works only if you are located within the US and have JavaScript enabled. Otherwise, the current day forecast is shown based upon the search location's local time.
• What is "everything else" when it's decision making time? Well, that simply means we've taken into consideration all those fancy weather terms you hear on TV and the radio before recommending you something to wear. Do you care that it is partly cloudy and 78 degrees out with a dew point of 69, relative humidity of 74% and a 20% chance of rain? And with winds out of the NW at 7mph... you're looking at the weather for something and I'm pretty sure that's not it. You just want to decide whether or not to wear shorts today and that's exactly what we tell you.
• Those are neat icons! Where'd you get them? Haha, thanks and they were all created and hand drawn in Photoshop (okay, mouse drawn if you insist on being techinically correct). And if you can't figure out what one of them is, just hover over it with your mouse.
• So what is the entire collection of icons you have? Believe me, we'd love to share that with you, but that would just ruin part of the fun! Think types of clothing... and there's a few other ones in there too for special occasions.
• I know you have some fancy coding in there, but how did you really decide when to recommend a sweatshirt instead of a hoodie? We know we can't please everyone, as we too have friends who wear shorts when it's 45 outside and sandals year-round. So although we can't get everyone's exact preferences (though that may be possible in the future), we did do some surveying and the results are an average based upon a number of people located throughout the different regions of the US. We basically asked individuals what they would wear if it felt like this out and if such and such was the condition.
